Introducing the Achievement System

As a gym owner, keeping your members motivated is a constant challenge. The effort and time they invest deserve recognition, which is why we're thrilled to announce the introduction of the new Achievement System on ManageMemberships. This feature allows you to create visual badges that track member progress toward specific goals, enhancing engagement without the complexity of automation.

Quick Start Guide

To get started with achievements, navigate to Membership → Achievements and create your first badge. Choose a badge shape, set the number of segments, and optionally label each segment. Once set up, assign it to your members and begin tracking their progress. It's a straightforward way to visually represent member accomplishments.

Creating an Achievement

The process begins on the Achievements page, where you'll click Create to open the form. Here's what you'll need to fill out:

• Name: Visible to members, e.g., "BJJ Fundamentals".
• Description: Optional text to describe the achievement.
• Active: Toggle to show or hide the achievement from members.
• Badge Shape: Choose from Shield, Medal, Belt, Badge, or upload a Custom SVG.
• Default Badge Color: The fill color for completed segments.
• Number of Segments: Divide the badge into 2-12 pieces.
• Segment Labels: Optional names for segments, like "Attend 10 classes".
• Segment Colors: Set individual colors per segment if desired.

Badge Shapes and Custom SVG Upload

You have four built-in badge shapes available:

• Shield – segments are divided horizontally or into quadrants.
• Medal – circular with pie-slice segments.
• Belt – horizontal bar, ideal for martial arts belt progression.
• Badge – star or rosette shape with pie segments.

For a completely unique look, upload your own SVG file. Ensure to add id="segment-1", id="segment-2", etc., to elements for segment support. If segment IDs are absent, the badge will show in full color when complete or gray when incomplete.

Managing Member Progress

Manage progress by selecting the Manage Progress option on any achievement. This interface lets you enroll members, mark segments complete, and view each member's progress. Remember, segments are completed manually by staff, allowing you to control when each segment is awarded.

Members’ View in the Portal

Members will find their achievements on the Achievements page in the member portal, with a summary on their dashboard. Each card displays the badge SVG with colored segments for completed tasks, the achievement name and description, a progress bar, and a checklist of segment labels with checkmarks for completed ones.

Practical Tips for Using Achievements

Implementing achievements can significantly boost member motivation and retention. Consider these practical applications:

• Use the Belt shape for martial arts progressions, matching segment colors to your belt system.
• Create class milestones such as "50 Classes" with segments for each milestone.
• Develop skills checklists with segment labels for specific techniques or requirements.
• Activate achievements to keep them visible on member dashboards to aid motivation.
