What's New in v2.2.0: Custom Homepages, Dynamic QR Codes, and Waiver Versioning

This is one of the bigger releases we've shipped. New tools for branding your portal, locking down door access, keeping your waivers legally tight, automating membership transitions, and a major POS update for ManageRegister users. Here's what's in it.

Your Portal, Your Brand — Custom Homepage Builder

You can now design a fully custom public-facing homepage without touching code. First impression matters — this is the page prospects and walk-ins see when they check out your gym online.

• Drag-and-drop builder with four starter templates: Classic, Bold, Warm, Minimal
• Flexible layouts: 1-4 columns, hero sections, testimonials, image uploads
• Membership Levels widget with grid/stacked/compact layouts and full styling control (colors, borders, radii, shadows, button styles)
• Google Reviews widget — paste your Google Business Profile link, and your live star rating, review count, and up to 5 reviews pull in automatically. Includes "Leave a Review" and "View More Reviews" buttons. Reviews refresh nightly.

Smarter, More Secure Door Access — QR Code Types

Your door access just got tighter. Three QR code modes, configurable per portal:

• Email (legacy) — QR contains the member's email. Works, but a screenshot can be shared.
• Static — opaque, non-guessable token. Reveals nothing about the member. Can't be faked from a known email.
• Dynamic — rotating code that changes every hour. A photographed or shared QR is useless after 60 minutes.

Existing portals stay on Email until you change the setting — nothing breaks. There's a "Allow legacy email QR codes at doors" toggle so old wallet cards keep working during the transition. Turn it off once members have re-added their cards to fully retire email codes.

Invalid scans now show in the Door Access log as "Unknown" entries with a denial reason (denied-unknown or denied-legacy-email) instead of being silently dropped. No more guessing why the door beeped.

Agreement Versioning — Require Re-Signs When Your Waivers Change

When your attorney updates your waiver language, you need proof that every active member signed the new version. Not the one from 2 years ago. That's what this does.

• Update a waiver → publish a new version → system sends re-sign requests to all active members
• Configurable grace period (default 7 days) — members keep full access during the window
• Reminder email sent 3 days before the deadline
• Miss the deadline = locked out at the door until they re-sign
• Every signature is version-stamped — you always know exactly which document a member signed and when

This is the liability protection feature. If someone gets hurt and their lawyer asks "did they sign the current waiver?" — you can answer in 2 seconds.

Membership Automations

Two new automations that save you from manual busywork:

Automatic membership conversion on expiration.

• Set "After Expiration, Convert Members To" on any membership level
• Example: "10 days for $10" intro offer auto-converts to "Unlimited" at expiration — card on file charged, no manual intervention
• Works the other way too — downgrade lapsed members to drop-in automatically
• Member gets a notification email the day before so there are no surprise charges

On Invalid Kiosk Check-in trigger.

• Fires when a check-in is rejected — no valid subscription, quota exceeded, expired membership
• Includes a reason variable so you can customize the message: "Your membership expired" vs "Your class pack is empty" vs "Please see the front desk"
• Rate limited to 2 per member per 30 minutes to prevent notification spam

Daily Roster — Live Class View for the Front Desk

New page at /kiosk/roster — open it in a tab on your front desk iPad and leave it there.

• Shows today's classes with everyone attending: advance signups get a green check on check-in, walk-ins get an amber "Walk-in" badge
• Classless check-ins land in a separate General Check-Ins panel
• Each name shows membership level and check-in count for the week
• Auto-refreshes every 10 seconds
• Optional password protection, separate from the kiosk password

No setup needed. Just open the URL on your tablet.

More Updates Worth Knowing

• Membership level prices can now be edited — changes only affect future signups. Existing members keep billing at the rate they signed up at. No more deleting and recreating levels to change a price.
• Apple Pay and Stripe Link checkout — members can pay with Apple Pay (Safari/iPhone) or Link for faster registration. Self-service toggle in Portal Settings.
• Member profile photo management — delete inappropriate or cartoon uploads and send the member a branded "please upload a current photo" email that links to their profile. Photo deletions are audit-logged.
• "No Profile Photo" and "No Address" filters on the Members list — quickly find members missing a photo or address so staff can follow up.
• Lead capture upgrades — squeeze pages now track utm_source for lead attribution, fire email alerts to staff on every submission, and got their own nav entry in the Communication menu alongside the Prospects CRM.
• Cash/card billing toggle — one-click switch between cash member and card billing from the member details header. Audit-logged.
• Quantity selection for merchandise — members can choose quantity when purchasing products from the dashboard. Shows a live total, caps at available stock.
• Delete classes and events — soft delete that preserves all booking, attendance, and payment history. Reports still work. The class just disappears from schedules and the portal.

ManageRegister POS Update

For gyms and ranges using ManageRegister for retail/POS:

• Purchase orders — set par levels per product, generate draft POs from the Low Stock report, bulk-create one PO per supplier, push to Sports South as a draft order, or email a PDF to any supplier
• Printer overhaul — choose between standard print dialog, 80mm thermal receipt layout, or direct USB raw commands. Star Raster and Star Line Mode support added for TSP100/TSP143 printers
• Layaway improvements — search by SKU/UPC, create products inline from the item picker
• Category Activity Report — sales grouped by category with member vs. non-member breakdowns and CSV export

Bug Fixes and Polish

• Self-upgrade with declined card no longer changes membership level — failed payment now fully rolls back the level change instead of leaving the member on the new tier without paying
• Password reset hitting the wrong account for members at multiple gyms — now tenant-scoped end to end, with rate limiting
• Main-site login landing members in the wrong gym — members with accounts at multiple gyms now get redirected to the correct portal
• Membership level delete silently doing nothing — now properly archives the Stripe product on the tenant's connected account and shows clear feedback
• Squeeze page builder showing raw placeholder text on re-edit — fixed
• Blog pages now respect your portal's custom theme colors
• Tournament bracket byes fixed for non-power-of-2 participant counts

We fix things too, not just build new stuff.
