We’re excited to announce a new feature in ManageMemberships designed to give gym and fitness business owners more flexibility in managing their revenue streams: Signup Fees. This one-time fee can now be added to any membership plan, allowing you to cover administrative costs, onboarding expenses, or simply provide an additional pricing structure that supports your business needs.

A signup fee is a one-time charge that new members pay when they join a membership plan. This fee is separate from the recurring membership cost and provides a way to offset costs associated with setting up new members, such as account creation, initial consultations, or welcome kits. How to Add a Signup Fee in ManageMemberships

We’ve made it easy to enable and configure signup fees for your membership plans. Here’s how you can set it up:

  1. Navigate to Membership Settings From your dashboard, go to Membership → Memberships.
  2. Select a Membership Plan Choose the membership plan you want to update or create a new one.
  3. Enable Signup Fee Toggle the Signup Fee option and set the desired amount. This fee will automatically apply when a new member signs up for the plan.
  4. Save Changes Once you’ve set the fee, click Save, and the signup fee will be added to the selected membership plan.

Member Experience with Signup Fees

When new members sign up for a membership plan with a signup fee:

  • They’ll see the total cost of the signup fee and recurring membership fees clearly displayed during checkout.
  • Signup fees will be charged immediately, along with the first recurring payment.
  • Existing members will not be affected by the signup fee unless they switch to a plan that includes one.
